The Brooks Center is conveniently located just one block east of State Road 421 (Washington St.) at 901 Prince William Rd. in Delphi. Home to SEVEN not-for-profit organizations that provide services to Carroll County residents, including Family Health Clinic, Area IV Agency on Aging, WorkOne, CDC Resources, WIC, Indiana Division of Family Resources, and Indiana Department of Child Services.  Brooks Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday. Phone ahead as each agency sets its own days and hours of operation.

Built in 2008 with a $2.3 million grant from North Central Health Services (NCHS) of Lafayette, Indiana, Brooks Center was designed specifically to serve the needs of human services agencies in Carroll County. Brooks Center is an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation and is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors from the Carroll County area.

  Area IV Agency on Aging  


Area IV Agency on Aging and Community Action Programs is a not-for-profit organization committed to providing a better quality of life for older adults, disabled and disadvantaged citizens of all ages in Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White counties.  The Agency offers programs such as in-home services, energy assistance, weatherization, money management, Head Start pre-school and housing programs for income-eligible individuals.   CDC Resources  


CDC Resources is a compassionate service provider and community advocate focused on rural northwest central Indiana. The agency, founded by parents in 1953, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation governed by a volunteer Board of Directors from the area.

CDC Resources provides a wide range of services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. This includes employment services, housing options, community living supports and life skills training. CDC Resources maintains a satellite office at Brooks Center to serve county residents and as a base for employment services.

Eligibility: Any child under the age of eighteen who is experiencing any form of abuse or neglect.
Intake Procedure: Call 800-800-5556 and be prepared to give information specific to the child suspected of being abused or neglected

  Family Health Clinic  


Family Health Clinic of Carroll County is staffed by nurse practitioners and nurses, the Family Health Clinic provides health services and treatment options for the entire community at a reasonable cost. The Family Health Clinic welcomes Medicaid recipients and uninsured individuals. In many cases fees are adjusted based upon the ability to pay.

Examples of the services provided are:

  • Well child exams
  • School, camp and sports physicals
  • Illness diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses
  • Management of stable chronic conditions
  • Physical exams including DOT/CDL and work physicals
  • Blood sugar checks for diabetes
  • Pap smears (may be free for women who are eligible)
  • Prostate screening

  WIC  


WIC (Women, Infants and Children) is a federally funded program that provides healthy supplemental foods and nutrition services in a supportive environment for:

  • Pregnant women
  • Postpartum and breastfeeding women
  • Infants
  • Children up to age five
  • Dads, grandparents and guardians may enroll children in their custody

The WIC office at Brooks Center is staffed by nurses and nutritionists who monitor the well-being of eligible mothers and their small children, providing health screenings, nutritional counseling and vouchers for healthy foods.

  WorkOne  


WorkOne is a comprehensive State of Indiana career and employment resource for job seekers and employers. The WorkOne office at Brooks Center offers assistance to people who are looking for:

  • Jobs
  • Job Training
  • Unemployment Services
  • Skills Assessment


The WorkOne office provides connections to local employers, links to community and area resources, and effective job search training including preparing a resume, improving interviewing skills and completing an application. The WorkOne office offers counseling and guidance for obtaining advanced education as well as assistance in obtaining a GED. Financial assistance for occupational training may be available.
