The Town of Camden is near the center of Carroll County in Jackson Township and was one of the early points of settlement.  It is governed by a Town Council: Andy Robison, Mark Schock and Brent Deel, and day-to-day administration is by the Town Clerk-Treasurer, Pat Casserly.  Camden's comprehensive website includes information of all kinds, including previous and current Council meeting minutes under the Town Hall heading.

Camden is home to a large park with athletic facilities and the Camden Early Childhood Center for Delphi Community Schools which serves kindergarten students.  Several churches are located here as well as a volunteer fire department, town marshall, American Legion, public library and museum, and active Masonic Lodge.

The Camden Area Preservation Society has successfully completed numerous projects in the town, including the restoration of the town pump and construction of the Library garden.  The town's many fine old homes are nicely maintained.  The Camden Women's Literary Club, children's sports organizations, and other groups maintain the vitality of the town.
