H1N1 Flu Information

The Carroll County Health Department and Carroll County Emergency Management are committed to providing as much information as possible to prepare for seasonal and H1N1 flu.  For the latest Carroll County developments, sign up for a free Nixle account so that you can receive text and email alerts from various County agencies as events develop.

The final characteristics of the fall version of the H1N1 flu are not known at this time.  What IS known is that ordinary, commonsense measures are effective at avoiding the flu.

  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Avoid others who are sick
The latest information on the H1N1 virus is available at several sources such as the Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization,  Indiana Government, or this Q & A.

When a vaccine becomes available to the Health Department, they and Carroll County Emergency Management will need volunteers to help with paper work, data entry, and administering the vaccine to the populations targeted by the CDC.  Volunteers should fill out this form and email or send it to Director, Carroll County EMA, 101 W. Main St., Room 1-B, Delphi, IN 46923.

Call the Carroll County Health Department at 765-564-3420 or EMA at 765-564-0028 for more information.
