There are many organizations in Carroll County, a number of which have their own websites. Following is a list of those, with links to their sites: Adams Mill Adams Mill is an 1845 gristmill located on Wildcat Creek in southeastern Carroll County. Adams Mill, Inc. is a new organization that seeks to preserve and maintain the Mill. Book Readers and Horn Blowers Book Readers and Horn Blowers is a nonprofit group dedicated to enhancing the cognitive development of children through reading, music, and an exploration of important figures in American history. Burlington Community Club The Burlington Community Club sponsors several events and supports the Burlington area in many ways. Burlington Kiwanis The Burlington Kiwanis have been very active in the Burlington community for over 30 years and provide support for numerous activities. Carroll County Chamber of Commerce The mission of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is to expand and unite the commercial, industrial, civic, agricultural, and natural resources of Carroll County Indiana and all the communities therein. Carroll County Community Foundation The Carroll County Community Foundation is a Fund of the Community Foundation of Howard County, Inc. The Foundation serves donors in Howard, Clinton and Carroll Counties. Carroll County operates through a "County Services Committee" comprised of Carroll County residents. This committee is responsible for asset development and the review of grants and distributions. The committee receives staff and technical support from the Community Foundation of Howard County. In addition, three representatives from Carroll County serve on the Board of Directors of the Foundation. Delphi Community High School Alumni, 1919-2010 Website connecting all Delphi alums. Delphi Preservation Society The society is an Indiana non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which strives to preserve the historic architectural integrity of Delphi, Indiana. Delphi Rotary Club Delphi Rotary is a service club with numerous projects. It is a part of Rotary International, and meets each Tuesday at 12:05 in the basement of the Delphi United Methodist Church. Eel River Tribe of Indiana The Eel River Tribe was a small group led by Little Turtle. The tribe was located along the Wabash River. The group is now active in distributing information, sponsoring activities, and raising funds for various purposes.he 1ts Flora Psi Iota Xi This is a philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting the arts, music, speech and hearing, and literacy. Friends of Carroll County Parks This small group was formed to provide volunteer work and financial support for both County Parks--Deer Creek and French Post Park.
IN Hope Indiana Missing Serves as a support organization for law enforcement and families who have a missing adult member. Jefferson Township Conservation Club JTCC, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that promotes and maintains a family-oriented facility to benefit the local community and statewide conservation groups. They promote fishing, hunter safety programs and good general conservation practices. NICHES Land Trust NICHES is a multi-county organization dedicated to preserving natural areas.
Prevent Child Abuse Carroll County Group meets monthly to promote prevention of child abuse. Promoting Wildcat Valley is a new group that formed in southern Carroll County to promote the area and sponsor various projects.
Town & Country Baseball & Softball The Town & Country League provides a sanctioned organization and state tournament for All-Star teams from recreational leagues of single, smaller towns per league guidelines.
Wabash & Erie Canal, Inc. This nonprofit groups is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the Wabash & Erie Canal in the Delphi area. Wildcat Guardians This group is a multi-county organization dedicated to the health and beauty of the Wildcat Creek. WIldcat Wildlife Center Wildcat Wildlife Center is a federal and state licensed wildlife rehabilitation center consisting of a team of volunteers with various educational backgrounds and interests. Their goal is to protect and conserve the wildlife and ecosystem of Indiana through rehabilitation, public education, networking, and providing an educational volunteer experience. |
