Carroll County Adult Education Program

Adult-education classes are available every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Class participants must be age 16 or older. The classes are free of charge: Basic Reading, GED Classes, College Preparation, ESL coming soon. Programs focus on academic, life skills, and workforce development.

Brady's Hope has information and resources to help make the choice of a drug free life while providing resources for family members and/or friends who are involved in the battle to defeat drug abuse.
Domestic Violence Intervention & Prevention

Services provided to victims of domestic violence (male and female) in both English and Spanish. Services include legal and child advocacy, support groups, education and outreach to greater community and victims. Serving Carroll County in addition to five other counties.

Family Resources
Program: Baeur Family Resources - Community Partners Program

Community Partners is a free, voluntary prevention program for parents with children from birth to age 17 interested in strengthening their family and keeping their children safe and thriving.

Drug Abuse

Head Start
Federally funded pre-school program for children ages 3, 4, and 5. It is based on the idea that all children share certain needs and can benefit from a total development program to meet those needs. The goal is to develop and increase skills children need to deal successfully in their home, their school and their life.

Intake Procedure: Applications are taken first for any child who will turn 3 after August 1 and are 5 before July 31 of the year. You will then receive a letter stating whether you qualify or not and if you will be put on a waiting list. If a spot becomes available, or during the summer enrollment process, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment to fill out all of the necessary paperwork.
Outpatient Therapy

Individual, group and family counseling services to address a wide variety of emotional needs of children. We have staff addressing sexual abuse, ADHD, grief / loss and many other topics facing children

An intensive family development program designed to help families meet life’s challenges. Advocate for families to community services.

Intake Procedure: Call for Intake
Additional Information: Family Development Consultants partner with families to learn about their lives, develop realistic goals, meet challenges and foster dreams. Action plans and support systems are developed to assist the family in the achievement of self-sufficiency. Meetings are home based and hours flexible around school or work.

WIC
Women, Infants, and Children (WIC): Support for low income women and children up to age five who are at nutritional risk by providing food vouchers to supplement diets for pregnant women, post partum women, infants and children.

Eligibility: Breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding women, infants and children up to age 5 who have nutritional risk and meet income guidelines.
Intake Procedure: Person applying must be present and provide proof of identification, proof of address, and have income screening. Then RN will do a nutrition screening.
Additional Information: If eligible, then you will receive vouchers for milk, juice, eggs, cereal, and cheese for moms and children. If breastfeeding, the mother will receive more food. If baby needs formula, vouchers will be provided for formula.
Clothing
CDC Thrift Shop
Provides another avenue for subsidizing programs for children and adults. This operation has also raised community awareness, provided a valuable service to the community by offering affordable clothing, furniture, and housewares, as well as provide a training site for individuals who are interested in retail work.

Clean, used clothing is available to our neighbors in Delphi and Carroll County in need.

Additional Information: Gifts of reusable clothing are welcome. All contributions are used for the purchase of new undergarments.

Assist families with needed items. Besides clothing, they have some dishes, small appliances, etc.
