The Town of Flora
The
Town of Flora is located in Monroe Township in the center of Carroll County. Previous and current Council meeting minutes can be found here. Flora is governed by a 3-member Town Council and administered by the Clerk-Treasurer.
Flora has a very large park which includes the 4-H Fairgrounds, paved walking track, ball fields, playgrounds, and numerous buildings.
Flora is the home to numerous businesses and restaurants, churches, senior housing, and a community center. On Fathers Day weekend, it is host to the annual
Hog-Jog foot races. Throughout the year, a number of tractor pulls and drag races are hosted at the Flora Park track. In September is the annual Flora Depot Day Festival centered around a newly restored 1908 Vandalia (Pennsylvania) Railroad Depot. More information is posted on the

The
public library provides numerous services, and the
airport is located west of town. The Community Club, Lions Club, Beta Alpha chapter-Psi Iota Xi, and other groups provide many public services for the community.
